Spiritual Distancing

I have been in a retreat.  Who am I kidding, most everyone is.  The stay-at-home order has most of us confined to our spaces, often with only our thoughts to occupy our time.  Not a bad thing, because when was the last time you actually got to sit down and really focus on something.

Choose your thoughts wisely.

I tend to be an introspective person anyway, so this gives me more time to hone in on my interior world.  I have been able to focus on shifting my energy to a higher frequency, which not only benefits me, but a significant portion of my community.  As my Heart Chakra expands, it helps others to expand as well.

I have time to connect to the Higher Realms for guidance and support, and sometimes just to let go of my fears and worries.  I spend time researching and reading what the spiritual community has posted to increase my knowledge as well as my spiritual gifts.  I then reach out to others with support, guidance and Light in order to assist with the transformation of our world.

Earth, and everything in, on and around it, is going through a change.  There is no stopping what is going on.  It is all changing for the better, so why would you want to resist?  Use distancing as your opportunity to raise the frequency of your Inner Light.  You will have heard the names of public figures who support spiritual guidance.  Find their websites and social media pages.  Read, study, research, anything you can do to support your inner wellbeing.  When you can focus on peace, self-nurturing, creative expression, and time in nature, your path through this transformation will be easier.  Spiritual distancing will represent the space that your bright Light encompasses.

Be well and shine your Heart Light.

Good Grief

We are going through a collective change as our planet moves into a higher frequency of light energy. Changes are happening and more are coming, but they will lead us in a better direction providing we do our inner work. Spirit is guiding us every step of the way so listen to your guidance.

It is interesting that the COVID-19 virus is affecting the lungs and breathing. The word “Spirit” originates from the Latin word spirare, which means to breathe. Slow, deep breathing helps us to access Spirit. If you read Louise Hay’s book “Heal Your Body” (1982, Hay House Inc), the mental causes for lung issues are: depression, grief, fear of taking in life, and not feeling worthy of living life fully. Unresolved grief lives deep within the lungs, and we are collectively being challenged to face our shadows. Grief is not limited to death and dying, but any unresolved emotional pain.

Healing grief can be a painful task, but trust me on this, it is worth every tear you shed. About 13 years ago, my life was in shambles. I was going through a divorce with a verbally abusive alcoholic, the country was starting its economic recession so we were forced to stay in our house for a year and a half until it sold at a loss. My relationship with my mother was never very good, but it got worse. I allowed people to take advantage of my kindness and hard-working ethics. Basically, I hit bottom. I kept asking myself why I let this constantly happen. So one day, I stripped myself naked and stood in front of my full-length mirror and took a good look at myself. What was I lacking? What was wrong with me? I mentally catalogued my physical faults and then did the same with my personality. And then came the behavior patterns. I didn’t like them. Then I made myself catalogue all my good stuff. I knew that I was basically a good, kind-hearted, generous woman, but my boundaries and lack of self-worth made all that look weak. I was determined to change. And I did.

It took about five years of intensive self-work. I did most of it myself, but I know that is not for everyone. I love to read and research, and by doing so, cements the knowledge in my brain. I learned to love myself. I learned that not having contact with my family stopped the mind-f*ck dialogue I had to endure. I learned how to be my own mother, by nurturing my lost inner child. I learned how to allow people to help and support me. I learned how to say No. I cried a lot. Sometimes deep, lung-burning sessions that I thought would never stop. I grieved for what I lost and what I never had. And you know what?

It worked.

Trust me on this. It worked. I am not the same person I was ten years ago. I am content with my life, and most days I feel joy within. I am in constant connection with Spirit for guidance on my best life. If it weren’t for Spirit’s guidance, we wouldn’t be living in our house across the street from a beautiful urban lake and within walking distance of groceries and take-out food, all of which is allowable during our current stay-at-home status. I know that my energy frequency is ascending, and it will help me hold the light of Divine Love within my heart in order to assist with raising the frequency of the planet.

As I write this, I can feel the healing energy spreading. If you would like to increase the healing energy, do your grief work. Use this time of rest and retreat to face your inner demons. Nurture yourself as you would a newborn baby. Allow yourself to grieve for whatever losses you have faced and maybe are now facing. Letting it wash away with your tears can only be good grief.

Reflection

I’ve spent most of this last week in reflection, meditation, checking in with the virtual Lightworker community and asking the Universe for guidance. It has been an overflow of enlightenment, as well as information, so I’m going to do a series of articles to address different aspects of our global situation.

If you are a Lightworker, you most likely already know how you can support this planet. If you think you might be a Lightworker, it is time to step aboard as we need all hands on deck to right this world. If you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about or think I’m nutty, that’s okay, I respect whatever method you are using to make sense of this or just stay safe.

We are going through an ascension in energy, that began December 12, 2012. It is a twenty-year process, and we are nearing the middle, and so far not many have noticed. Thus, the grand sh*tshow that is getting everyone’s attention.

We have long been operating in the lower frequency of energy patterns, the place where negativity has a home. Fear, anger, sadness, rage and an endless amount of stuffed-down emotions have created a whirling storm of negativity. You have only to hang out on social media to figure that one out. This cloud of negativity has covered many dark aspects of society: bullying, incest, rape, child abuse, torture, sex trafficking, the list goes on. But the Light of the Universe is far more powerful and is determined to bring about this ascension, and for quite some time we have seen those who hover in the fringes brought to justice. If the Universe wants something out of your life, it gets it done.

What is this ascension of energy? Aside from our physical body, we have an energetic body with 7 spinning wheels called chakras. Science has demonstrated that we are made of electromagnetic energy that is a constantly changing form. Chakras govern different areas of our body and we can improve our well-being by maintaining them. Sort of like maintaining the engine in your car. This energy is capable of functioning at a higher frequency and is beneficial to us if we learn how to tune into it. From the time of 12/12/2012, our bodies are making an automatic shift to this higher frequency, but not everyone is ready for this. Thus the grand sh*tshow.

Sometimes the only way to get someone’s attention is to create a crisis of major proportions.

Our world has gotten a little too caught up in running. We run here, we run there and never get anyplace meaningful. We turn over all our important tasks to technology and forget how to read a story to our children. Sorry, but Alexa is not a substitute. Most of us chase money in jobs we hate. We stuff ourselves with food, drink and substances to avoid coming to terms with the shadows in our souls. We send hate mail through social media, even if we don’t really know why, but just because someone else is doing it. We’ve sold our souls to disconnection, when we can’t even connect within our hearts.

The time to make changes has thumped us right in the chest. Many people are sequestered at home, either ill, expecting to be ill or just trying to make the best of the situation. Use this time to look within yourself and survey your surroundings. Are you living your life purpose or are you just existing? Is it time to make a change in your job and pursue something that gives you meaning? Are you overburdened by your housing? Do you have family or friends who continuously take-take-take and never give anything back? Is your relationship sucking you into a deep, dark hole? This is the negativity that is staring you right in the face. What changes to you need to make?

Or, what changes have you already made?

If you are living your life purpose, then you will be able to ride out this wave and come out stronger and better than you can even imagine. If you are a Lightworker, then your prayers, your healing energy, your uplifting thoughts will radiate outward like the Sun coming up on a Summer morning.

The planet is healing, and it will change and shift into a higher energy even if you are not ready. Why not be part of the Light and transformation? Hold the energy of Love and Healing deep within your heart, because that is all that is really asked of you by the Universe.

Published!

41ZJcig+cPL._SX311_BO1,204,203,200_[1]I have just achieved a long-time dream and published my first book.  I used Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing and it was surprisingly simple.  The publishing part, that is; writing is much more of a challenge.

My book “Phucenschitt – Spirituality For People Who Swear” is in the same theme as my blog posts and represents my views of spirituality.  But with a twist, for those of you – like me – who aren’t afraid to flavor their speech with foul language.  Real life, after all, does include plenty of reasons to swear.  I believe it doesn’t lessen my beliefs in the Universe, but rather strengthens them.

Please feel free to look, review and maybe purchase.  I thank you for any attention you might give.  You can purchase from Amazon here: Book

Free Will

Choices. Which way do we choose? Is it right or wrong, good or bad? Does it lead to success or failure? I should I just sit and wait to see what happens?

Free Will. OUR choice to decide; not anyone else’s decision.

I like the lyrics of “Freewill”, from the band Rush:

“You can choose a ready guide, in some celestial voice. If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. You can choose from phantom fears, and kindness that can kill. I will choose a path that’s clear, I will choose free will.” (Released January 14, 1980, by Mercury Records, on the album “Permanent Waves”). (Rest in Peace, Neil Peart, you passed from us on January 7, 2020.)

You can stay stuck in fear, unable to decide and life will just float along regardless. Life will deal you a fast hand, and make you feel as though you didn’t get to choose. Were there warning signs, red flags that you chose to ignore? Could you have done something to change course?

Are you unable to trust yourself so you hand off the decision making to someone else and then feel resentment towards them for running your life? Or maybe you are thankful that they were there to help you along your path, but now it is time to take back control.

I recently read a quote in a subscription newsletter from Kelly McClain (you can find her on 12Listen). It stated, “your new life is going to cost you your old one”. Holy Sh*t! Does that make your toes curl in fear or in anticipation? Are you ready to take on that challenge or have you already been plotting the course and the new path is wide open?

Regardless of your thoughts or emotions, when planning your life path it is best to rely on trustworthy assistance. Even the lyrics point in this direction, “you can choose a ready guide, in some celestial voice”. There is always help available to you anytime, anyplace, in any way. The Universe has your back.

The Universe is comprised of a Higher Power, in whatever name you choose, and many other spiritual guides. Every human has one or more Guardian Angels. There are Archangels, available to anyone at all times, and you don’t have to think you are taking them away from anyone else. Ascended Masters, Spirit Guides and many others with pure loving thoughts and guidance are always available to you.

ASK THEM FOR HELP.

Because we are human, we were given the gift of free will choice so we could learn and grow our spirit. We are free to journey along as we wish. The guides in the Universe won’t interfere unless it is life or death and not our time, OR until we ask. So why take the path of fear and indecision when you have readily available help that will guide you to your best life? Ask them for their help.

Don’t know how? Find a quiet place where you can be by yourself. Get comfy and take a few deep breaths. As you breathe, allow your chest to expand and feel like your heart is opening up. Feel that space for a bit, it should feel warm, happy and safe. State your fears. Think the words or say them out loud. No one is around to hear you so you needn’t feel silly. The words can be simple or a big long running statement. No judgement here. Some examples: “should I take this job or keep looking?” “I want to move, but I don’t know if I should stay in the area or go somewhere else.” “Should I stay in this relationship?”

90% of the time when you get down into your heart, you already know the answer but were afraid to admit it. When you are talking to the Universe, thoughts and feelings will come into your head and body and will provide you with guidance. Pay attention. If those thoughts and feelings make you feel good, even if it means making an uncertain change, then your choice lies within them. If the thoughts make your stomach feel sick, they are not right for you. The Universe is always positive and always wants the best for you. Making you feel sick and scared is not in the plan. Your tummy might feel sickly from those “butterfly” feelings of anticipation. I think you know the difference.

If your path includes many decisions to move forward, play ball with the Universe. Keep asking, keep following the guidance and take action steps until you get to your happy place.

You got there of your own Free Will.

For simplicities sake: I had a choice to write this post. I also could choose the topic. I decided to ask my Guides for the topic, and guidance on the words. It is written in my “voice”, but with many words given to me by them. I usually write in this manner. In this case, it is also intended to provide guidance to a friend who is currently uncertain in her path. A note on that: sometimes we need to float along for a bit to disconnect and decompress from our prior life path. Becky, you already know the answers in your heart, you just needed confirmation and validation.

Lazy Days and Mondays

I know there is a song somewhere in there, but it doesn’t get me down. It is Monday and a no work day for me. It is lovely being at home and I have decided to make this a restful day. I’m doing some things just for me, but I don’t feel like they are work.

We live in a non-stop world. Everything is delivered to us almost immediately, whether it is technology or actual items. This creates a reactive energy within us and makes us feel as though we need to respond to or do everything right now. I wouldn’t give all that technology back, but it would be nice to change our behavior to one of thoughtful response. Not everything is a heart attack waiting to happen, although the constant stress could bring one about.

I have been away from work for several days and don’t return until Thursday. I’m using up some of my vacation time prior to my last day in February. It has been interesting to say the least. The first two days were spent in gotta-do-everything-right-now mode, and the next two I-want-to-veg-like-a-couch-potato. Pretty normal behavior, I’m thinking. What I find most interesting is the emotional roller-coaster that is going along with it.

I suppose that going through retirement is much like the stages of grief. I have experienced the feeling that I’m never going to reach the actual day, and along with that, old anger and resentments of events that I have experienced. I think that is very healthy, so I am just letting them ooze up and out. It helps to understand where I didn’t have good boundaries, so I am forgiving myself for not honoring me. Then there is the jubilance bubbling up and filling me with joy that I am moving forward into a future where I am living on my schedule and not someone else’s. In between are thoughts about money and having enough. I don’t think that has an answer, because we don’t know how long we’ll live or what we will need. It is a matter of looking at all possible sources and using them wisely over a projected time frame. With the understanding that you may need to adjust.

I also think of what to do to fill my days. I have numerous activities on my list and I am doing one of them right now. Afterwards, I am getting on the treadmill for some exercise. I have concluded that boredom is basically unexpended energy so movement of some sort will get you to a restful state. And then having a lazy day to read a book or work a jigsaw puzzle is just the ticket to release stress.

And that will never get me down.

Running On Empty

The countdown to retirement has begun and everyone wants a piece of my brain. No wonder I feel like a Zombie this week. Hope the Apocalypse doesn’t kick off this week, not that there would be much left of me anyway.

It’s the beginning of the month, which means I need to do all those financial tasks that brings in money and makes anal-retentive people happy. It is hectic, but added to this task is training my manager on how to do the work. Think about doing brain-intensive work and explaining it at the same time. I can barely remember my name when I go home.

The sad thing is that I just don’t care anymore. Maybe it’s not so sad as much as it is a true indicator that my time of service is finished. Maybe that’s just how we know that it is time to move on and do something else. It could be a job, a relationship, a place or just a habit that has outgrown its usefulness in our lives. Sadness, yes, but if you can let go you will see how much you have grown and are now ready to discover and learn something new. We tend to look at letting go as a bad thing, when really it is a healthy thing. Think of it like growing out of your kid bike with training wheels and climbing onto a multi-geared adult bike. Look how you can go now! Unfortunately, my bike has a flat tire so I am limping along until I can get a new bike.

Note if you will, that it is only changing the type of bike, not dumping the whole thing altogether. We don’t need to change our identity entirely when we outgrow something. And maybe sometimes, all we need is a new tire.

A New Decade Rolls In

Happy 2020 to all! I’m back online, mostly, as I’m still in recovery mode for my wrist. Who knew such a little lump would be such a big deal. I’m back to work tomorrow so we’ll see how that goes.

Not just a new year has begun, but a whole new decade. The time is ripe for a new, or just revised, vision of your life. Resolutions are usually a wasted effort and often abandoned within three weeks. I’m talking about a vision. How do you see yourself? What do you want your life to look like? Have you practiced that?

In February, I am retiring after 18-plus years of government service. It’s been a good run for me. I helped start up a new county and made it a worthwhile career. I set my intention to serve and I feel as though I lived up to that goal. But now it’s time to serve me.

I’ve been in the prep mode of this event for a couple of years. I’ve begun new hobbies, written a-yet-to-be-published book, researched places to visit and practiced activities and interests. The three weeks I have been away from work due to my surgery have been very useful in teaching me what matters. I expect retirement to still have its surprises, but I am ready. I have my vision of what my life will look life. I look forward to this new decade and what it will bring.

How about you? What vision have you imagined for yourself? Have you taken any action steps or practiced your vision? Are you ready for the reality of it?

Many blessings, hopes, dreams and most of all, good times to all of you as we journey forth.

Happy Every Little Thing

gratitude-2939972_1920

I’m in a food coma from Thanksgiving dinner, but I am very happy to have eaten it. I am happy that my Sweetie had the forethought to buy a small turkey breast a couple weeks ago, because the restaurant we usually go to was closed.

Gratitude is about being thankful, but doesn’t it almost convey happiness? I am happy for this day: the food, a day of relaxation, time spent together, being warm, the sun is shining and the fact that I can still write in spite of the food coma.

People sometimes get tired of hearing the word “gratitude” like you should be thankful no matter what. Well, yes, but it is more of an attitude that you can find something in your life to be grateful for no matter what else is going on. Were you able to get out of bed, go pee and get a drink of water? Some people can’t, you know, because they are connected to tubes and things that do that for them. Shouldn’t you be grateful that you can?

And then there is the word “happy”, like you should immediately get a frowny face because you are supposed to be all upbeat and bouncy when you just got rear-ended. Be happy that you could walk away from that accident. Some people don’t, you know.

I have an endless number of things in my life to be grateful and happy for, even if I often don’t recognize them. We have the expectation that these should be something big, when sometimes all we need to do is be happy that we can still breathe and taste food.

What little things are you happy and/or grateful for?

Enlightening Writing

writing-1209121_1920

I love automatic writing. It’s like meditation with a pen. Automatic writing helps you access your Higher Self to glean insight, guidance and a path towards healing.

It’s quite simple to do. Get a tablet of paper and something to write with. Pen, pencil, crayon, marker, anything. I don’t recommend poking your finger. It leaves a scar and might make you anemic if you have a lot to write about.

Find a quiet space where you can be undisturbed for a period of time. That means no people and no phone. It should be comfortable and have someplace to put your paper. Begin as though you were going to meditate. Close your eyes. Breathe through your nose and out through your mouth. Four counts in; eight counts out. Your parasympathetic nervous system will kick in and you will relax. You should be able to access your heart center, which will connect you to your Guardian Angels and the Universe. You will also be able to access your feelings. Now open your eyes and pick up your writing instrument.

Write down the first question you need guidance on. Maybe it’s “why do I feel so out-of-sorts?”. Continue breathing and write down the first thought that comes into your mind. “I’m really upset that so-and-so said that to me”. Write down the next thought. Keep asking questions and writing answers and it will soon feel like your hand can’t keep up with your thoughts. That is automatic writing and you are accessing guidance. Continue until there is nothing else coming out of you.

Rest for a moment before you begin reading. Flex and massage your hand if it feels cramped. Ask yourself how you feel. Do you feel lighter, more sure of yourself? Now pick up those pages and read. Did you get the guidance you needed? Do you feel enlightened?

If this is your first attempt and you just wrote a bunch of gibberish, don’t be disappointed. Sometimes our ego gets in the way and keeps us from seeing what we need. Maybe next time just try meditation so you can practice letting your thoughts scroll through your head. Maybe just write down your thoughts like a diary. As with anything, it just takes practice. Before long, you will be able to write your light.
