Happy Mother’s Day

There are a multitude of sources regarding the origination of Mother’s Day, and all for good reason.  I like to think of it as honoring the nurturing aspect of a woman towards a child.  However, many women are not mothers, including me, but that doesn’t lessen the capability of nurturing.  Nor do I think it is limited to the female gender.

Nurturing is a deeply-ingrained capacity to care for another, and a full expression of love.  Anyone can act in the capacity of a mother simply through this self-less, generous expression.  The first step to nurturing is turning it inwards to yourself.  You cannot give to others freely, without first giving to yourself.

Nurturing is honoring yourself when you are tired, just as a father puts a cranky child to bed.  It is feeding yourself when you are hungry, as a mother nurses a hungry baby.  It is motivating yourself to fulfill your passions, as a parent encourages a child to build their skills.

To love yourself unconditionally by honoring your body, your needs and your very existence, all of which is learned in your early childhood.  If those needs were not met when you were a child, it is never to late to nurture yourself.  You act out when your inner child is not being cared for.  Ask yourself what you need and do that.  Give yourself a hug and tell your child-self that you are loved and cared for and protected.  When you begin to mother yourself, you will no longer seek it outside of you.  Your relationships will become more meaningful and your total well-being will feel happy.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of us.

Thought For Today – May 8th

If you don’t know which direction to go, turn around and look where you came from.  Maybe you are where you need to be going, or maybe you just need a new path.

Extra-Introvert

I haven’t had the motivation to blog lately.  I’ve seen this mentioned on another site I follow, so I guess I’m not alone.  I would guess that lack of motivation for anyone would be a current problem.

Still, it bugs me and I had to think about it for awhile.

I know that I am an introvert.  I “recharge” my energy by alone time and doing something relaxing, like reading.  Extroverts need their people time to feel better.  So, it has occurred to me that I am getting a big extra dose of relaxation time, and without any big amount of stress in my life – like what came with my former job – I don’t have the “urgency” to get things done.  Hmm.  I suppose this is what comes with job retirement.  I shouldn’t feel disturbed by that, and I’m not really; it’s just different.  It is something new to adjust into, so as they say “practice makes perfect”.  I’m still in the process of developing my daily routine and I like it.

I have been working on my next book, so that is productive.  I am following the same theme, but taking it to the next level and making it a journey through healing.  I guess the blog got set aside due to that work.  I also know that creativity of any kind has an ebb and flow rhythm.

Just wait until the tide comes in.

Spiritual Distancing

I have been in a retreat.  Who am I kidding, most everyone is.  The stay-at-home order has most of us confined to our spaces, often with only our thoughts to occupy our time.  Not a bad thing, because when was the last time you actually got to sit down and really focus on something.

Choose your thoughts wisely.

I tend to be an introspective person anyway, so this gives me more time to hone in on my interior world.  I have been able to focus on shifting my energy to a higher frequency, which not only benefits me, but a significant portion of my community.  As my Heart Chakra expands, it helps others to expand as well.

I have time to connect to the Higher Realms for guidance and support, and sometimes just to let go of my fears and worries.  I spend time researching and reading what the spiritual community has posted to increase my knowledge as well as my spiritual gifts.  I then reach out to others with support, guidance and Light in order to assist with the transformation of our world.

Earth, and everything in, on and around it, is going through a change.  There is no stopping what is going on.  It is all changing for the better, so why would you want to resist?  Use distancing as your opportunity to raise the frequency of your Inner Light.  You will have heard the names of public figures who support spiritual guidance.  Find their websites and social media pages.  Read, study, research, anything you can do to support your inner wellbeing.  When you can focus on peace, self-nurturing, creative expression, and time in nature, your path through this transformation will be easier.  Spiritual distancing will represent the space that your bright Light encompasses.

Be well and shine your Heart Light.

The Ascension

Easter, or Pascha is Sunday April 12th and will be celebrate by millions, most likely at home in a virtual gathering.  Whether it is Passover or of Christ rising from death, a Pagan ritual, or any other significant meaning, it is the celebration of life defeating death.  In Christian terms, it is Jesus teaching us that we are more than our physical bodies.

I won’t go into a theological discussion of this ritual, but the main theme is birth or rebirth.  There is really no coincidence that the current state of the planet happens to be at a peak during this Easter season.

Every living thing on this planet is going through rebirth, or an ascension into a higher dimension.  Our DNA, our cellular structure, our energetic bodies are going through an upgrade. Sort of like going from a four-cylinder engine to a high-performance racing version in one day.  All of us.  At the same time.  Believe it or not, the Universe is trying to make this a little easier by forcing us to stay home.   A little test drive, so to speak.

We aren’t getting a choice in this upgrade, even if you think you can resist.  “What you resist, persists”, as the saying goes.  The Lightworkers are actively working the collective energy patterns to help everyone assimilate the change.  Those who are enlightened, but not active Lightworkers, have already made adjustments to their lives and are just moving through the changes.  Then there is the group who is fighting it every day, thinking that life will just go back to the way it was.  It won’t.  But it will be better than it was.  They’ll suffer and maybe become ill, then blame it all on the government or some such.  But they will still change.  Then there are the wonderfully blessed souls who made the soul agreement to become violently ill and pass on.  These beautiful ones have agreed to absorb the grief and negativity in their corner of the planet and take it with them into death, in order to rapidly shift the energy.  I hope their spiritual rewards are truly wonderful.

If I’ve managed to keep your attention this far, you might be wondering what to do.  Maybe you already know, but are reading along for validation.  Look to this time of isolation for the answers.  We are being given the gift of “pause and reset”.  Dig into your heart and soul and ask yourself what matters and how you want to live.  What are you doing without that no longer matters?  Has your life suddenly become less burdensome by staying at home?  Do you have more time for your family? Have you discovered time to follow your passions?  What changes are being made in your life – might there be something better?  Creativity is being heightened now; what does this mean for you?  Now is your opportunity to design or refine your life path.  Envision what it will look like and you will manifest it into being through guided action steps.

For those of you ready for the next step; look to spiritual teachers for information.  Many of the authors on Hay House publishing have websites with spiritual practices.  Try meditation for starters.  If you have studied the Chakra body, then begin to work through the fifth dimensional version, because this is what is being re-wired within you.  It is seriously more powerful than what was.  The energy to be developed, or ascended, is what will lead you through the planetary changes.  You will need to work on releasing old beliefs, grief, negativity to move into ascension.  The following is a brief explanation of your new energetic body.

The Twelve Chakra System:

Eighteen inches above your head is the Stellar Gateway.  It vibrates gold and is the receiver of all information from the Creator or All That is.

Six inches above your head is the Soul Star, which vibrates magenta.  It carries the blueprint for all your spiritual gifts, in all your lifetimes.

The Causal is offset to the rear of your head.  It connects us to the entire Angelic realm and vibrates moon white.

The Crown Chakra is the top of your head and is the connection to your Higher Self, which is a receiver for the upper three.  Formerly violet, it now vibrates liquid gold.

The Third Eye is in your forehead.  The vibration has changed from indigo to emerald crystal.  Your Crown and Third Eye have integrated their energy through the pineal gland.  It is our point of manifestation.  “As Above, So Below”; or what you envision becomes your reality.  Once this is activated, manifestation is more powerful than ever.

The Throat Chakra has intensified its blue color and takes the vibration of our thoughts into words.  It is very powerful.

The Heart Chakra in the center of your chest and has expanded to the width of your shoulders.  It is resembles a flower and has 33 petals, each with their own heart lesson.  The energy has shifted from green to white, and radiates the most powerful vibration of all: Love.

The Solar Plexus is between your ribs and navel.  It has shifted from yellow to bright gold.  I have always referred to this as “your inner bullsh*t detector”, because it acts as a sensory device for your surroundings.

The Naval Chakra is newly formed, vibrating bright orange.  This is the connection between you and all other life forms on the planet, helping you to create a cooperative society.  Sharing and caring will be the new norms.

The Sacral Chakra has changed from orange to bright pink.  Pink has always been associated with love, so the energy shift is crucial for this chakra.  All our emotional sh*t is carried here, and is totally being affected by our ascension.  Clearing out the old, the negative thoughts and beliefs, is very important during this pause and reset.  Many will struggle, but an enormous amount of support is available.  If you can work through your inner enemies during this time, the transition will be less stressful.

The red Root Chakra is now the shining platinum Base Chakra.  The energy is very powerful and establishes your presence on Earth as: I AM.

About twelve inches below your feet is the Earth Star, your grounding to the Earth.  Once you have made this connection, you will continuously stay grounded.  Your soul path information is stored here.

Take time during your meditations and start to connect with each Chakra.  Focus on them individually and gain insight to their messages and energy shifts.  Fully visualize their new form and allow them to support your physical body.  As you work through them, they will connect and begin your ascension into a fifth dimensional being.

There is nothing about this to be frightened of.  Nor is there anything to resist.  You are awakening to a higher vibrational self.  This energy will fill you with light, love, contentment, peace and joy.  Can there be anything better than that?

Good Grief

We are going through a collective change as our planet moves into a higher frequency of light energy. Changes are happening and more are coming, but they will lead us in a better direction providing we do our inner work. Spirit is guiding us every step of the way so listen to your guidance.

It is interesting that the COVID-19 virus is affecting the lungs and breathing. The word “Spirit” originates from the Latin word spirare, which means to breathe. Slow, deep breathing helps us to access Spirit. If you read Louise Hay’s book “Heal Your Body” (1982, Hay House Inc), the mental causes for lung issues are: depression, grief, fear of taking in life, and not feeling worthy of living life fully. Unresolved grief lives deep within the lungs, and we are collectively being challenged to face our shadows. Grief is not limited to death and dying, but any unresolved emotional pain.

Healing grief can be a painful task, but trust me on this, it is worth every tear you shed. About 13 years ago, my life was in shambles. I was going through a divorce with a verbally abusive alcoholic, the country was starting its economic recession so we were forced to stay in our house for a year and a half until it sold at a loss. My relationship with my mother was never very good, but it got worse. I allowed people to take advantage of my kindness and hard-working ethics. Basically, I hit bottom. I kept asking myself why I let this constantly happen. So one day, I stripped myself naked and stood in front of my full-length mirror and took a good look at myself. What was I lacking? What was wrong with me? I mentally catalogued my physical faults and then did the same with my personality. And then came the behavior patterns. I didn’t like them. Then I made myself catalogue all my good stuff. I knew that I was basically a good, kind-hearted, generous woman, but my boundaries and lack of self-worth made all that look weak. I was determined to change. And I did.

It took about five years of intensive self-work. I did most of it myself, but I know that is not for everyone. I love to read and research, and by doing so, cements the knowledge in my brain. I learned to love myself. I learned that not having contact with my family stopped the mind-f*ck dialogue I had to endure. I learned how to be my own mother, by nurturing my lost inner child. I learned how to allow people to help and support me. I learned how to say No. I cried a lot. Sometimes deep, lung-burning sessions that I thought would never stop. I grieved for what I lost and what I never had. And you know what?

It worked.

Trust me on this. It worked. I am not the same person I was ten years ago. I am content with my life, and most days I feel joy within. I am in constant connection with Spirit for guidance on my best life. If it weren’t for Spirit’s guidance, we wouldn’t be living in our house across the street from a beautiful urban lake and within walking distance of groceries and take-out food, all of which is allowable during our current stay-at-home status. I know that my energy frequency is ascending, and it will help me hold the light of Divine Love within my heart in order to assist with raising the frequency of the planet.

As I write this, I can feel the healing energy spreading. If you would like to increase the healing energy, do your grief work. Use this time of rest and retreat to face your inner demons. Nurture yourself as you would a newborn baby. Allow yourself to grieve for whatever losses you have faced and maybe are now facing. Letting it wash away with your tears can only be good grief.

Reflection

I’ve spent most of this last week in reflection, meditation, checking in with the virtual Lightworker community and asking the Universe for guidance. It has been an overflow of enlightenment, as well as information, so I’m going to do a series of articles to address different aspects of our global situation.

If you are a Lightworker, you most likely already know how you can support this planet. If you think you might be a Lightworker, it is time to step aboard as we need all hands on deck to right this world. If you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about or think I’m nutty, that’s okay, I respect whatever method you are using to make sense of this or just stay safe.

We are going through an ascension in energy, that began December 12, 2012. It is a twenty-year process, and we are nearing the middle, and so far not many have noticed. Thus, the grand sh*tshow that is getting everyone’s attention.

We have long been operating in the lower frequency of energy patterns, the place where negativity has a home. Fear, anger, sadness, rage and an endless amount of stuffed-down emotions have created a whirling storm of negativity. You have only to hang out on social media to figure that one out. This cloud of negativity has covered many dark aspects of society: bullying, incest, rape, child abuse, torture, sex trafficking, the list goes on. But the Light of the Universe is far more powerful and is determined to bring about this ascension, and for quite some time we have seen those who hover in the fringes brought to justice. If the Universe wants something out of your life, it gets it done.

What is this ascension of energy? Aside from our physical body, we have an energetic body with 7 spinning wheels called chakras. Science has demonstrated that we are made of electromagnetic energy that is a constantly changing form. Chakras govern different areas of our body and we can improve our well-being by maintaining them. Sort of like maintaining the engine in your car. This energy is capable of functioning at a higher frequency and is beneficial to us if we learn how to tune into it. From the time of 12/12/2012, our bodies are making an automatic shift to this higher frequency, but not everyone is ready for this. Thus the grand sh*tshow.

Sometimes the only way to get someone’s attention is to create a crisis of major proportions.

Our world has gotten a little too caught up in running. We run here, we run there and never get anyplace meaningful. We turn over all our important tasks to technology and forget how to read a story to our children. Sorry, but Alexa is not a substitute. Most of us chase money in jobs we hate. We stuff ourselves with food, drink and substances to avoid coming to terms with the shadows in our souls. We send hate mail through social media, even if we don’t really know why, but just because someone else is doing it. We’ve sold our souls to disconnection, when we can’t even connect within our hearts.

The time to make changes has thumped us right in the chest. Many people are sequestered at home, either ill, expecting to be ill or just trying to make the best of the situation. Use this time to look within yourself and survey your surroundings. Are you living your life purpose or are you just existing? Is it time to make a change in your job and pursue something that gives you meaning? Are you overburdened by your housing? Do you have family or friends who continuously take-take-take and never give anything back? Is your relationship sucking you into a deep, dark hole? This is the negativity that is staring you right in the face. What changes to you need to make?

Or, what changes have you already made?

If you are living your life purpose, then you will be able to ride out this wave and come out stronger and better than you can even imagine. If you are a Lightworker, then your prayers, your healing energy, your uplifting thoughts will radiate outward like the Sun coming up on a Summer morning.

The planet is healing, and it will change and shift into a higher energy even if you are not ready. Why not be part of the Light and transformation? Hold the energy of Love and Healing deep within your heart, because that is all that is really asked of you by the Universe.

Reset

This morning I read an article on “The Power Path – School of Shamanism” website titled “The Corona Virus: The Bigger Picture”.  here  I have been following this site for a number of years, and have gained much insight from their articles and monthly forecasts. What stood out the most for me was the idea of Reset. We’ve been determinedly plowing forward with the current way of life, and it isn’t working all that well. There is no denying that many destructive things are being ignored, and now a rampant virus is a very blatant indicator that we need to make some changes.

Lately, I’ve read a number of articles about how the millennials are so stressed, even to the point that they can’t tolerate handclapping. Those of us older people snort derisively, complain about their incessant use of marijuana to calm down, and demand that they grow up and handle life like we did.

What if the millennials are right, and all of us have created this go-go-go, get-it-done-right-now world?

Since many of us were teens, technological advances have connected the world delivering almost anything in real-time. We’re excited that we can see what’s going on in another part of the world, at any time of the day or night. We can have food or other supplies delivered to our door whenever we want. We can communicate with one another with a device in the palm of our hands. More powerful, efficient, clean-burning vehicles get us from place to place. Vast strides in the medical world have kept cancer from spreading too quickly, and I’m sure the cure is coming.

While these many things have been gifts to improve our lives, and make us live longer and healthier, there are downsides. Faster has become entitled. Faster has become expected. Faster has become a demand. And the cost is our mental health. Anxiety and stress drive us to do more and it is not always a good thing.

Mother Nature feels the burn as well, but doesn’t hesitate to snap at us when we’ve gone too far. Maybe, just maybe, this is our dear Mother Nature telling us it is time to slow down. Many businesses and government offices have closed their doors to the public. Events, and gatherings of more than 10 are banned. Schools are empty, and children are at home. What message, and purpose, might this be saying to us?

Is it time for a Reset?

When was the last time you sat down on the floor with your child and played a game? When was the last time you took a nap, read a book, or fixed yourself a nice meal that didn’t come out of a box?

I realize that many of you might be out of a job, and in danger of financial ruin, so I am not trying to downplay the reality or the hardships that come with global turmoil. But staying in a state of anxiety does not serve you either. Creative ideas and solutions do not come when you are in a state of panic. Take some time to play. When you are relaxed, you’ll be able to formulate plans to keep yourself on track. Maybe some of those plans are to divest yourself of things that are more stressors than useful. Sometimes facing ruin is our greatest path to a better life.

The Coronavirus primarily affects our lungs and our ability to breathe. Do you find yourself holding your breath? Do you feel suffocated by your circumstances? Symbolically, this virus is “exposing” us to the truth of our reality. Maybe you are not in an area with a large risk of exposure. Maybe your life is not feeling the pressure of this crisis. If so, you are more than likely on your path and don’t need the challenges presented. Your path might be to stay safe and ride it out, or it maybe that you need to be of service to others. Taking the time to relax and play to relieve the anxiety is the first step. Connecting to the Universe through meditation or prayer comes next, so you can receive guidance. And then you will be able to see if you need to do a little Reset of your life.

Get Your Game On

Mass closures everywhere are forcing people to stay at home. Bored kids, banned from school, are likely driving their parents nutty. Too much 24-hour news reports fill us with a sense of doom. Bloggers are writing endless posts about staying calm. I am one of them.

When I was a child living on an Iowa farm, we endured countless blizzards keeping us sequestered. As farmers, we had food on hand so there were no worries about eating. Most of the time the power went out, and we lived by candlelight and my grandma cooked on an old coal-burning stove in the basement. In the sixties, there were no cell phones, no internet, no 24-hour television stations. That alone would send today’s world straight to Nutville.

I don’t remember ever being bored. What I do remember are marathon card games; rummy, tripoley, and sometimes just solitaire. We played another card game that involved betting with pennies, but I can’t remember the name. My uncle Fred and I battled to the death and near wore out our Monopoly board. But mostly what I remembered was sitting at the kitchen table with my family and having fun.

Outside, the snow was blowing and there were drifts several feet tall. My grandfather tied a rope from the house and stretched it to the barn, so he could find his way through the blowing snow to take care of the animals. We knew that the county snowplows would not be out until the snow stopped falling. In short, we were quarantined on the farm. I know I was a child, but I was very aware and astute for my age, and it seemed to me that we were content to allow Nature to take its course.

Perhaps this event serves to remind us of other times. Maybe this dependence upon technology and lack of face-to-face social connectedness has been more of a contributor to our undoing than we recognize. I believe there is often a greater underlying purpose to difficult events. So what is this situation doing? It is forcing people to stay home and face each other. To remember how to be a family and have fun together. To sit at a table and share a meal, talking and entertaining one another. To play games, or to maybe. . . just play.

So much seriousness these days that keeps everyone anxious and stressed. We think we need to be somewhere, doing something all the time, when instead we might just need to play and have fun.

I received the “Cheaters Version of Monopoly” as a retirement gift. Game time starts at 3:00. Any takers? Or should I say “Cheaters”?

Get your game on!

Look Within

heart-806512_1920
Image by Karin Henseler from Pixabay

When fear and doubt overwhelm you, look within.  When you are stressed by all the news reports, look within.  If you are isolated and alone, look within.  If you just need some rest, look within.

My friend Lisa, of Southern Patches, wrote a beautifully titled post, “The Contents of My Heart and Soul” post a perfect reminder of where we should put our focus.  Lisa’s post shares what most of us are feeling.  The ever-present media, and all the warnings, have us caught up in a frenzied pace of rushing to get to something that we don’t even know what we need.  We worry about jobs, food, toilet paper and meds.  We worry about people in places we’ve never been.  But mostly, we worry about our families and friends, and what changes may come in our lives.

Events like this pandemic shake the very core of our existence.  Our way of life, and all that we have known is facing great change.  That which lives in our soul, our faith, is being challenged to rise up and guide us through.  It is there where we must begin.

Look within before you look without.  Use this time of isolation to search the contents of your heart and soul (thank you, Lisa).  When we take the time and space to go within, we find our connection to the Universe.  That is where peace and purpose can be found.  Instead of fear, you will find action steps that will protect you and your loved ones.  You will be guided to make beneficial changes in your life that, even if they seem scary and disruptive, are ultimately for your Highest Good.

Spirit does not want the annihilation of the planet.  Spirit does not want us to be alone and isolated.  Trust that Spirit is guiding us towards a more meaningful and purposeful life.  Our purpose here is to grow, to love and be loved, and to experience many things to help Spirit grow.  Global destruction does not serve Spirit.  Perhaps there are things, activities, and even people, that need to end.  I don’t believe that is malice on Spirit’s part, only a soul agreement that what ends has served a purpose to teach or guide where we are to focus next.  I believe that part of the purpose for this pandemic is to teach us that social isolation is more likely to be our undoing than this virus.  That losing our connectedness is far more damaging.

I know that we are supposed to maintain a personal perimeter to avoid spreading this virus.  No one wants to be ill in any variation.  Use good judgement, as well as your inner truth, as to what level you follow this guidance.  If you feel safe giving someone a hug, then that is your guidance.  We exist in an energetic body, with healing capabilities beyond what we can understand.  It is no surprise that the energy vibration of the heart is green, known to be the healing energy of Archangel Raphael.  When you hug someone, your heart chakras vibrate together and create a healing force.  I repeat, follow your own judgement on this.  If keeping your distance is best for you, do that, but look within and expand the energy of your heart to fill the space around you and touch others.  You can’t get sick from energy.

Many blessings and healing to all of us.  Namaste.
